These Contra Costa, California, natives met in 2002, when both worked at a women’s clothing store. Marilyn, who’s in retail sales, thought Spencer “was a horrible employee, but the nicest man I’d ever met.” Although she kept urging her manager to let him go, when Spencer asked her to dinner, Marilyn accepted, and soon found herself vacationing with his family in France.
About seven years later, Spencer gave her a Tiffany & Co. diamond, and to celebrate their long, winding road to matrimony, they planned a French-country-style affair for 70 guests at a wine estate.-

Spencer and Marilyn were snapped in the front of Anderson Ranch’s immaculately renovated two-story barn, fashioned from Sonoma fieldstone and old-growth redwood. The groom, in Dolce & Gabbana, held hands with his bride, who wore a Vera Wang gown.

Retro Inspired Wedding Inspiration Featured on Green Wedding Shoes!
Retro-Mod Moto Wedding Inspiration

There is a pretty constant stream of pretty vintage weddings + inspiration floating around the blog-o-sphere daily – and we aren’t complaining! At GWS, we love a good vintage-inspired celebration! But we also know that so many of you are looking for design ideas that skew more retro or mid-century modern, so today’s gorgeous shoot, photographed by the lovely Jessica Claire, is sure to provide you with some super fun + colorful inspiration! The Amorology gals did an incredible job of styling this editorial to portray a stylish, retro-mod feel with an adventurous undertone. According to the team, Every good relationship craves a little adventure + by showing this duo hitting the road in a retro vespa and side car, in a send off like no other, we hope to inspire couples to go somewhere they’ve never been.

Oak and the Owl provided some beautiful, punchy florals for the shoot. Loving the green velvet bouquet wrap!

The team utilized the hubcap wall at STUDIO 1342 to invite guests to “find their name and park it” with custom plexi air freshner escort cards created by Pitbulls & Posies. Love it!

More from Heather of Amorology, Our table was made up with a gorgeous lush assortment of flowers in shades of burgundy, pinks, caramels + gold which was accented with teals + jade in the glassware and plates. Rear view menus sat at each place setting upon custom hexagon chargers that we created while place cards lay upon carefully chosen plates to give a nod to spoked wheels.

I majorly adore this fun lounge space created with some awesome patterned pieces from Archive Rentals!

And isn’t this the prettiest little cake ever?

This retro, tea-length Illume Wedding Gown was a perfect match for the set-up…

And the adorable bridal party was decked out in fun frocks and accessories from Zara + Anthropologie.

Majorly loving this send-off!

So fun, right?! Big thanks to the very creative artists below for sharing their talents + vision with us today!
