Sixteen years ago, back in the days of chubby faces, braces, and tucked in polo shirts, we met as sixth graders at our private middle school. Through the seven years we spent together in middle, high school and beyond, we became closer as friends as the years went on. Fortunately, even with life paths that sent both of us in vastly different directions, we stayed great friends throughout college, and both moved back to Las Vegas after graduation. Between English class, prom, football games, bad college decisions, great career advances and more… we had seen the best and the worst of each other. Staying friends for as long as we have has certainly paid off because we quickly realised that we have a love for one another that is so much more than friendship. Although we were once awkward ten-year-old friends, we are now twenty-somethings in love committed to happily ever after.

Ashley wanted to create a glamorous jungle vibe inside the tent, so strands of vines were strung from the ceiling. Mirrored tables and gold chairs added a subtle Art Deco vibe, kept in check with organic arrangements that featured tendrils of greenery sneaking around the place settings. “We wanted our wedding to be a mix of elegance, chic simplicity, and fun,” says the bride.

A Beautiful Ojai, California Sunset Wedding (and the Glowing Bride)

At TEAM, we believe in enhancing- not masking-one’s natural beauty. Case in point, this radiant bride…she simply glows, doesn’t she? The couple’s sunset wedding, photographed by Jake Anderson, is featured on Style Me Pretty. Here the groom shares why they chose an Ojai, California destination for the celebration…

We picked Ojai because it’s gorgeous, magical, and peaceful. Nicole grew up in California and goes back every chance she gets. Nicole introduced John to Ojai years ago and since then they go back at least once every year. When I proposed to Nicole, it was at 6am in the morning before we were headed to the airport to go to California to celebrate being together for 10 years. While we were in California we almost eloped but instead decided that it was the perfect way to share our favorite place with all of our friends and family that live across the country.

Beautifully Lush and Vibrant Santa Barbara Wedding

Have seen seen this beautiful Santa Barbara wedding, featured this past week over on Magnolia Rouge? It’s all kinds of lush and lovely…

Summer & the outdoors were our driving force for Ashley & Will’s Santa Barbara wedding. Being in the wedding industry herself the bride wanted to ensure she could still surprise her friends and guests with a few things. Having always dreamt of a destination wedding where family & friends could gather and relax over a few days, heading to the California coast offered them all they wanted. Held at BACARA RESORT the reception took place on their outdoor lawn space which feels like you’re enclosed in an intimate garden thanks to the surrounding tall hedges. Using rustic farmhouse tables with plenty of lush greenery and vibrant florals the overall look epitomised a summer soiree. Of course with summer comes some delicious food choices and their guests were treated to fish tacos, sliders and other California inspired dishes.

A Wedding Planner’s Exquisite Ojai, California Nuptials

When a wedding planner designs her own nuptials, expectations from the peanut gallery tend to be high. And this Ojai, California wedding of bride (and, yes, planner) Cassandra Bette surpassed all flair with rarely matched beauty. Of course, Martha Weddings thought so, too. Some highlights from the feature, including their lovely wedding film, below…

That old yarn about the cobbler’s children going barefoot rang true for event coordinator Cassandra Herschenfeld. She’d spent about six years planning weddings (including working with industry legend Mindy Weiss), but hadn’t been married herself. “I was recently out of another relationship, and in a place where I was asking everyone to set me up,” she says. Enter Ben Katz, the colleague of one of Cassandra’s grooms. When they met on a blind date at a bar in Manhattan’s West Village, “we talked and laughed for four hours!” she recalls. Ben, who works in finance, says, “she has this laugh that takes over a room.”

After a year of planning, the couple wed under a century-old oak tree in front of 187 guests at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa on August 19, 2017. The weekend celebration felt like exactly what Ben had asked for: “an adult summer camp with a fantastic party in the middle.” They incorporated many Jewish traditions and updated others—including circling each other, instead of the bride circling the groom.

How beautiful is that? We think it’s very.

From Style Me Pretty, Charmed with old world elegance, masterfully considered design, and the classic romance of stone, hand-hewn beams from Queen Elizabeth’s rose garden, and brooding tones of natural light pouring into every room, Sunstone Winery provides the perfect setting for a timeless wedding. Brett and Sarah’s day was no exception. The ceremony took place under the live oak, surrounded by the property’s vineyard, and followed by the reception in the backgrounds of the estate.

An Artistic California Coast Ranch Wedding

The free spirited, artistic touches from this lovely California coast ranch wedding has our hearts fluttering and inspired. And oh! That veil!

From the Bride…I wanted every last detail of my wedding to evoke emotions from our guests and ultimately myself as well. That was my vision. If I wasn’t moved by something when wedding planning, I’d cut or rework it. I used that as my gut check throughout the process. We got married in wintertime at Rancho Dos Pueblos outside Santa Barbara, California. It was very important to me that the color palette and style fit both the region and the season. We chose stark, ivory whites, bright pops of burnt orange and citrusy corals with dark, moody greens, and we asked our guests to wear their version of winter whites as well. I felt it was essential that our wedding feel cohesive but not over-styled.
