Jose Villa Mexico Workshop 2016 - Wedding Photography inspiration

This,a utopian backdrop rooted in old world nostalgia. Hacienda el Carmen, located in Ahualulco de Mercado, Mexico… a region of valleys, surrounded by a cane plantation of agave, a stunning panoramic view to the volcanoes of Tequila and Ameca. Idyllic comes to mind… a place to relax, coexist with nature and rest from everyday life. And this, the location of Jose Villa’s most inspiring photography workshops. TEAM celebrated with Jose Villa Workshops at its 10 year anniversary in November (Mar has had the honor of styling hair and makeup for each of these workshops over the course of the past decade).

Now, from his own lens (and appearing in the upcoming issue of Geraldine)…have a look at how beautifully José has been inspiring a new generation of film wedding photographers from around the world…

Modern. Classic. Magical. Gilded in gold. Call it what you will (because all of this is true). But have you seen how darling this couple is? The sweetest love birds with expressively free-flowing happiness…wouldn’t you agree? Another beautifully captured wedding, photographed by Jose Villa, featured on Style Me Pretty. And with San Francisco as the backdrop to their James Leary Flood Mansion venue, well ok then… Modern, Classic, Magical, and Gilded it is.

GRACEFUL WEDDING INSPIRATION IN MEXICO

One of the things that always speaks to us from wedding submissions is an elusive quality of grace and elegance, and we love to see this manifested in so many beautiful ways in weddings and editorials. Today’s inspiration shoot comes to us from Jose Villa, Sarah Winward and Laurie Arons, combining an old-Mexico feel (stunning architecture, stone walls, and wrought iron details) along with an effortless sense of grace. From the neutral toned flowers (which are anything but boring) to the foliage filled ceremony setting, we simply cannot get enough.Photography: Jose Villa Photography | Floral Design: Sarah Winward | Wedding Gown: Lihi Hod | Wedding Gown: Emily Rose Riggs | Cake: Sweet And Saucy Shop | Engagement Ring: Trumpet And Horn | Hair And Makeup: TEAM Hair And Makeup | Calligraphy: Anne Robin | Candles: Creative Candles | Custom Artwork: Karina Puente | Fashion Stylist: Summer Watkins | Floral Design Assistant: Gabriela Salazar | Food Styling: Diana Perrin | Graphic Design And Collateral Pieces: Amber Moon | Hair Extensions: TEAM Bridal Extensions | Location: Hacienda La Labor | Location: Hacienda El Carmen | Overall Design And Planning: Laurie Arons Special Events | Ring Box: The Mrs Box | Tabletop Rentals And Design: Casa De Perrin
