Wind-swept beauty along the California coast and oh what a charming sight! This classic, organic, and unconventional wedding feels like a breath of fresh air. From the bride…
We fell in love with Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm and knew we wanted it to be our place as soon as we saw it. We looked at several venues in Santa Barbara and this site fit exactly the type of spot that we wanted for our wedding. It was unique, natural, beautiful and had the indoor-outdoor combination that we wanted. We got married outside on the bluffs overlooking the ocean and then had the party inside this beautiful greenhouse/glass structure surrounded by massive oak trees covered in lights.

A wedding defined with elegance and refinement without the ostentatious fuss, this Ojai celebration brought stunning natural simplicity and the perfect touch of sparkle to a most divine day. More about all the lovely details, featured on The Southern California Bride, below…
When we talked about what we wanted our wedding to feel like, we gravitated toward words like bright, natural, elegant and effortless. We wanted the wedding to feel like it represented us. And having been to many weddings as guests, we both knew what we didn’t like – anything opulent or stuffy was definitely out. That’s how we arrived at the mix of wood, greens, linens and warm metals like copper and rose gold. The colors were inspired by the bride’s childhood home in Santiago, Chile. Nine months before the wedding, we walked through her father’s beautiful garden and picked flowers, trying different combinations. What became clear was that we preferred the vibrancy of a Spanish garden to the pastels that are widely used.

What do you get when you add a touch of Southwestern, a dollop of Bohemian, a splash of black tie…and puppies? Nothing short of the happiest of wedding celebrations, California style. Featured on Green Wedding Shoes, the lovely floral-adorned bride- whose makeup and hair was styled by TEAM’s Nicole and Kita using THM Hair Extensions in color Felicia- shares her favorite moments…
It’s hard to pick just one. My top three are:
1. Our first look. Not only did Will look so incredibly handsome, but he surprised me with the news of the newest addition to our family. A puppy! A little brother (golden retriever) for our Ivy. Not to mention, our first look was an intimate affair, just Will, me and our… rattlesnake wrangler 10 feet away.
2. Our golden retriever pup, Ivy, running down the aisle mid-ceremony. We knew we wanted Ivy involved in our big day but we weren’t sure whether she’d want to be involved given all the commotion. At first it looked like she was happy watching from a distance, but halfway through the ceremony she decided she wanted to be with all her people — and came sprinting down the aisle! It was a perfect surprise.
3. Walking into our reception and seeing it for the first time. Our wedding planners, Colette and Kaitlin, made sure that we were the first people to see our reception. It was such a surreal moment seeing all of our hard-work come together in such a beautiful way. The Hudson Project was already jamming out, so Will and I got to be the first ones on the dance floor before anyone else arrived. It was awesome.
